Lenovo Windows Server 2025 Standard ROK 16-Core is a genuine Lenovo OEM Microsoft server licence designed for Lenovo server deployments.
This Reseller Option Kit licence is suitable for businesses installing Windows Server 2025 Standard on eligible Lenovo server hardware, including Lenovo ThinkSystem rack and tower servers.
Windows Server 2025 Standard is commonly used for general business server workloads such as file sharing, Active Directory, print services, business applications, remote access and lightweight virtualisation.
The 16-core licence is the normal starting point for Windows Server licensing. Microsoft server licensing requires a minimum of 16 cores per server, with additional core packs required where the physical server has more than 16 cores. Lenovo’s Microsoft Software Solution guide confirms that Lenovo OEM Windows Server Standard and Datacenter base licences cover up to 16 cores, with additional core licences available for servers above that level.
