HPE SmartMemory modules are validated and tested exclusively for HPE ProLiant Gen12 servers. Unvalidated third-party DIMMs can trigger performance throttling on these platforms. This 128 GB RDIMM runs at DDR5-6400 (PC5-51200R), dual rank x4, with EC8 ECC protection, at CL52 and 1.1 V. It is the highest-density single DIMM available for Gen12 at product launch; a 2-socket server with 16 DIMM slots reaches up to 2 TB of validated DDR5 at full density. Primary use cases: large virtualisation hosts, in-memory database servers, and high-memory GPU host nodes in AI server builds. Compatible with the HPE ProLiant DL360 Gen12 and DL380 Gen12 servers already in the VeriLicense catalogue.
