It suits resellers deploying HPE ProLiant servers in space-constrained racks where every port must carry 10G workloads — virtualisation hosts, NAS links, or aggregation for smaller Instant On 1930 access-layer switches. Cloud management via the Instant On mobile app or web portal requires no licensing fee. The switch is stackable with other 1960 models, supports Layer 2+ features including VLANs, QoS, and link aggregation, and ships with a limited lifetime warranty. It pairs naturally with HPE ProLiant Gen11/Gen12 servers that carry dual 10G NICs.
