The HPE Windows Server 2025 Datacenter — 16-Core ROK is an HPE Reseller Option Kit licence for deploying Windows Server 2025 Datacenter on compatible HPE ProLiant infrastructure.

Datacenter edition is designed for heavily virtualised and software-defined datacentre environments. It is the preferred edition when a server will host a larger number of virtual machines, where unlimited virtual operating system environment rights can be more cost-effective than stacking multiple Standard licences.

Check server generation, processor core count, edition and access requirements before ordering.
Core-based Windows Server licences generally require all physical processor cores in the server to be licensed, subject to Microsoft licensing rules.
Windows Server CALs are normally required for users or devices accessing Standard and Datacenter server environments, unless an exemption applies.
Remote Desktop Services, SQL Server and other Microsoft application licences are not included unless stated separately.
