The ThinkSystem RAID 940-8i drives up to 8 internal drives on V3 servers. It is a PCIe 4.0 x8 tri-mode adapter handling SAS, SATA and NVMe U.3. A 4GB flash-backed cache accelerates writes. It supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 plus JBOD. The Broadcom SAS3908 controller fits the SR630, SR650, SR655 and ST650 V3. Right for cached, parity-protected arrays.
