The ThinkSystem RAID 940-16i is a 16-port internal 12Gb RAID adapter for high drive-count ThinkSystem builds. Its 8GB flash-backed write cache and full RAID 0/1/5/6/10/50/60 support make it the standard controller for storage-heavy servers. It has double the internal ports of the stocked 940-8i (4Y37A09728), so it suits 16-drive backplanes.
