The PowerEdge R7615 is Dell's 2U single-socket AMD EPYC server and the AMD counterpart to the Intel-based R760 and R770 already in the catalogue. A single AMD EPYC 9004-series socket delivers up to 128 cores — strong for virtualisation, database, and consolidation workloads where per-socket software licensing costs drive the platform decision. It supports DDR5 memory at 4800 MT/s across 12 DIMM slots (up to 3 TB). Storage flexibility spans SAS, SATA, and NVMe across up to 24 × 2.5-inch bays. PCIe Gen 5 doubles I/O bandwidth versus the previous generation. Direct Liquid Cooling is available for dense AI and HPC deployments. The Smart Selection variant (per761501a) is pre-configured by Dell for rapid deployment.
