Cloud-managed networking made simple

Cisco Meraki is the industry standard for cloud-managed networking. All devices are managed through a single cloud dashboard — no on-site controller required.

MX security appliances
Next-gen firewall, SD-WAN, advanced threat protection and intrusion detection in one appliance. Ideal for branch offices and distributed networks.
MR wireless access points
Wi-Fi 6 and Wi-Fi 6E access points for indoor and outdoor deployments. Self-configuring, cloud-managed with detailed analytics and client visibility.
MS switches
Access and aggregation switches with cloud management, PoE+ and stacking. Managed from the same dashboard as your MX and MR devices.
Dashboard licences
Meraki requires an active cloud dashboard licence per device. We supply Enterprise and Advanced Security licences in 1, 3, 5, 7 and 10-year terms.
MV cameras
Meraki smart cameras with cloud-managed video storage, motion analytics and integration with the Meraki dashboard for unified visibility.
Volume & broker pricing
We have access to exclusive broker pricing on Meraki hardware and licences. Ideal for MSPs and resellers managing multiple client deployments.
How it works

Meraki licensing explained

Every Meraki device requires an active cloud licence. Without it the hardware will not function. Here’s what you need to know.

Hardware + licence
Every Meraki device must have an active licence. You purchase hardware and a licence subscription — typically sold together or as a bundle.
Choose your term
Licences are available in 1, 3, 5, 7 and 10-year terms. Longer terms offer better value. We recommend 3 or 5 years for most deployments.
Co-termination
Meraki supports licence co-termination — aligning renewal dates across devices on your dashboard to simplify management and renewals.

Meraki hardware without an active licence will not function. If a licence expires, devices enter a read-only mode. Always renew before expiry or purchase multi-year licences to avoid disruption.

FAQ

Common questions

Does Meraki hardware work without a licence? +
No. All Meraki hardware requires an active cloud dashboard licence to function. When a licence expires, devices enter a read-only mode and cannot pass traffic. Hardware purchased new typically includes a short trial licence, but a full licence must be purchased before deployment.
What is co-termination and should I use it? +
Co-termination aligns all Meraki licence expiry dates in an organisation to a single date. This simplifies renewals significantly. When adding new devices, licences are automatically pro-rated to the co-term date. We recommend enabling co-termination for any deployment with multiple devices.
What is the difference between Enterprise and Advanced Security licences? +
Enterprise licences cover core cloud management features. Advanced Security adds content filtering, advanced malware protection and IPS/IDS. For MX appliances used as security gateways, Advanced Security is typically recommended.
Do you offer broker pricing for MSPs? +
Yes — we have access to exclusive broker pricing for MSPs and resellers purchasing Meraki at volume. Contact us at sales@verilicense.co.uk for a quote on your specific requirements.
